3 Unique Wedding Gift Ideas

By Elizabeth

The art of gift giving is highlighted during weddings. The guests usually leave a physical present for the wedding couple however they also give a gift of simply being there, do not overlook this, as a collective to give blessing to your wedding. The couple tends give the gift of the food and/or drink as well as the gift of creating a beautiful ceremony and sharing this with their guests. Although some weddings have incredibly long guest lists, in which case extravagant gifts are simply not viable. There are, however, countless ways of giving your guests a little special something in honor of their presence at your wedding. They can be exuberant or simple, cost effective or expensive. The question is; how inventive are you willing to be? Here is a list of creative gift ideas to signify the ceremonious event:

1. Sparkles

Introduce an element of fun with sparklers. This is a great way for guests to bless your wedding. You can get very shapes and sizes (yes, even heart shaped) at a cost effective price. You can have your guests either sitting or standing at their seat and in one simple gesture have everyone light their sparkle, as one. You can expect giggles of glee and sparks of light to fill the atmosphere. A magical and fun way to engage with your guests as a collective and incorporate into your wedding ceremony.

2. Gift bags to fill with goodies

A cute and interactive way to thank your guests to give an empty bag and a scoop they can fill with coffee beans. Have some coffee beans (or candy!) placed in a dish on each table for the guests to fill up their bag with. If you’re afraid of greedy hands – we all have that one friend – have the bag filled before the wedding day.

Seal the bag with a pretty little something and you have yourself an aromatic gift that is sure to be appreciated. If coffee beans don’t excite you, choose something else, but choose wisely. Opt for something that is not quick to perish and something that smells divine. The coffee aroma is refreshing (good if you know you are setting your guests up for a lengthly occasion) and you’ll be surprised at how much an aromatic gift stimulates smiles across the room.

3. Disposable Camera

This is a fantastic gift for any occasion, especially for a wedding. You enable guests to happily snap away, capturing in photographs all their favorite parts of your special day. A disposable camera also means you won’t have guests on your heels for photos of the wedding. This is sure to be a win with your guests and they are surprising cheap to buy. An alternative is to have one shared among the table, and let the guests decide among themselves who is the camera boss…
