Sure, make-up is part of your life. But your wedding is a one-time event and you can’t just wear any make-up. You are a “whole”. Your make-up should go with your hairstyle, dress, jewelries…You have to be exquisite because this is your day. Make-up is one of the most important parts of your wedding. You can hire a make-up artist who will take care of this essential part or you can do it yourself. In one way or the other, you should know what you want. Sure, after consultation, the make-up artist will tell you what will suit you best, but you can add a personal touch to what he intends to do. All the same, note that your wedding make-up must take your appearance to the next level. So, whether you go for classic, natural, romantic, zen, sophisticated or smoky, you have to be breath-taking and your guests must be dazzled by your beauty. Take the following tips in order to succeed your one-time make-up.
The whole face (carnival looking is out of the question so, “composure” is our key word)
- Are you ready? Let’s rock it. First and foremost: A healthy glow (no compromise on this one). A healthy glow is the basis of a successful make-up. Avoid stressing yourself up before the D-Day for you will end up with a sallow-skin and a pale look that will greatly jeopardize your chances of attaining this unique look;
- Start with a light and adapted hydrating cream that will nourish and freshen your skin;
- Continue with your usual make-up base to enable a better fixation;
- If you could not sleep part of the night because you were too anxious and excited, hide the rings under your eyes with a corrector stick, a concealer having your skin color;
- Put on powder (not too compact) for a matte and unified complexion;
- Then highlight your cheekbones with a pinky or apricot-tone blush.
The eyes (most of the times, we neglect them; yours are so beautiful (you have been told more than a hundred times); today, let’s mesmerize everybody)
- Your make-up must highlight your eye-lids (with no excess however);
- For a radiant look, use a pearly light reflecting eye-shadow (prefer pastel tones);
- Proceed with a discreet eyeliner mark;
- Then apply waterproof (crucial, you know what I’m talking about) mascara.
Your lips (I know he loves you. No Doubt. Still, there is nothing wrong in making them even more “kissable”)
- Go for smooth tones (pinky, apricot which is very trendy…);
- For fixation, use a moisturizing gloss balm;
- Proceed with a bit of lips powder.
I will never stop hammering this because it is so true: THIS IS YOUR DAY. You are and must remain the most beautiful. So, keep, “close to your heart”, your lipstick, blusher, gloss, and other little cosmetics accessories in order to correct one or two things as the day goes on. You are the star and the only person you can share the limelight with is your prince charming. Good Luck!!!
